PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type steam trap in which a foreign substance adhering to a valve hole can be easily and certainly removed. SOLUTION: An entrance 5, a valve chamber 4 and an exit 7 of a steam trap are formed by a body 1 and a cap 2. A globe valve seat member 3 having a T-shape valve hole 10 is disposed for connecting a lower part of the valve chamber 4 to the exit 7. A float 13 for opening and closing the valve hole 10 is disposed in the valve chamber 4. The globe valve seat member 3 is rotatably disposed to be supported by the body 1 and a valve seat holding member 12. A cleaning through-hole 11 is disposed in the body 1 opposing to the valve hole 10. When the valve hole 10 is clogged with a foreign substance such as dust, the globe valve seat member 3 is positioned at a rotation position, and the foreign substance in the valve hole 10 can be reliably removed by directly cleaning the valve hole 10 through the cleaning hole 11.
