PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of noises and exhaust gas; to reduce large-scale traffic regulation; and to shorten a construction period. SOLUTION: A bridge pier rebuilding method for rebuilding an existing bridge pier 101 into a newly-built bridge pier 1 includes the steps of: field-assembling the newly-built bridge piers 1 in a brought-down form on both bridge-axis-direction sides of the existing bridge pier 101 and disposing each of the newly-built bridge piers 1 in such a manner that they can be turned and raised in a bridge-axis direction with respect to a foundation section 7; and subsequently supporting each of the newly-built bridge piers 1 on the existing bridge pier 101 to lift and raise them together and fixing each of the newly-built bridge piers 1 to each of the foundation sections 7 in such a manner that they sandwich the existing bridge pier 101 in a bridge-axis direction.
