<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a cotton fabric, that gives a water diffusion promotion capability to a cotton fabric that directly touches a skin, by which a moisture transpiration property is improved and unpleasant feelings such as a sticky feeling by sweat and a cool feeling after sweated can be ameliorated, and to provide a water diffusion promotion agent that gives a water diffusion promotion capability to a cotton fabric that directly touches a skin. <P>SOLUTION: (I) A method for processing a cotton fabric, that gives a water diffusion promotion capability to the cotton fabric comprises a step for attaching a glyceryl ether compound (A) represented by the following general formula (1) to a cotton fabric before wearing in direct touch with a skin by 0.1 to 50 mass% per mass of the cotton fabric, and (II) a water diffusion promotion agent that gives a water diffusion promotion capability to a cotton fabric before wearing in direct touch with a skin comprises the aforementioned glyceryl ether compound (A): R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-O-CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>CH(OH)CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-OH (1), where R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>represents a straight chain hydrocarbon group with a carbon number of 5 to 9 or a branched hydrocarbon group with a carbon number of 5 to 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
