INTER-FRAME CORRELATION DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-frame correlation detector which can discriminate the existence of an inter-frame correlation with a small circuit scale and also can reduce discrimination errors caused by noise. SOLUTION: This detector is provided with a frame delay circuit 1 which delays an input image signal 101 by one frame, a pixel unit inter-frame correlation value arithmetic circuit 2 which calculates a 1st inter-frame correlation value 103 in a pixel unit between an image signal 102 that is delayed by one frame and the signal 101, a pixel unit inter-frame correlation discrimination circuit 4 which compares the value 103 with a 1st threshold and discriminates the existence of inter-frame correlation in a pixel unit, a field unit inter-frame correlation value arithmetic circuit 5 which calculates a 2nd inter-frame correlation value in a field unit from a 1st determination result 105 and a field unit inter-frame correlation discriminating circuit 6 which compares the value 106 with a 2nd threshold and discriminates the existence of inter-frame correlation in a field unit.
