INFORMATION FILTERING DEVICE AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the information filtering device narrowing and providing only a document necessitated by a user by setting a document prepared and corrected nonperiodically to be an object. SOLUTION: Plural documents stored in a document data base 11 to be prepared and corrected nonperiodically are periodically read and a document duplicate information storing part 15 stores the document itself or data obtained by information-compressing the document as document duplicate information. On the other hand, a document correction detecting part 12 detects a newly prepared or corrected document from a difference between document duplicate information prepared at the time of reading last time and document information read this time. A similarity calculating part 13 calculates similarity between this detected document and a retrieving condition designated by the user in advance. Then these documents are transmitted or presented to the user by a document presenting part based on the similarity calculated by the part 13.
