Nitrato, nitrito or thionitrito-substituted N-aralkyl-benzenesulphonamide derivatives of formula (I) and their isomers and salts with acids and bases are new. Ra,Rb = H or alkyl, or together form a bond; Rc = H, alkyl (optionally substituted by ONO2, ONO or SNO) or amino (optionally substituted by 1 or 2 of alkyl and optionally substituted phenyl); R1 = H, ONO2, ONO or SNO; R2,R3 = H, alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl; X = O or NHCO; m,p = 0 or 1; n = 0-6; R4 = H, alkyl (optionally substituted by OH), optionally substituted phenyl or R1-CR2R3-(CH2)n-(X)p-; R5,R6 = H or alkyl; or R5+R6 = (CH2)t; t = 1 or 2; q = 0-2; r = 0-6; Rd,Re = H, halo, alkyl, alkoxy, OH or trihaloalkyl; provided that at least one ONO2, SNO2 or ONO group is present in R1,R4 or Rc; alkyl moieties have 1-6C.
