The present invention relates to a vertical centrifugal heat generating pump capable of minimizing an installation space and maximizing heat generation efficiency to heat hot water by having a vertical structure where a driving center shaft vertically stands. To achieve the above purpose, the vertical centrifugal heat generating pump comprises: a main body housing (10) which includes a water inlet (11) introducing water and a water outlet (12) discharging hot water heated in the main body housing, and includes a driving center shaft (20) vertically inserted; a driving motor (30) connected to an upper part of the main body housing (10) to transfer power to the driving center shaft (20); heating disks (40) coupled to the driving center shaft (20) at regular intervals, and has friction grooves (41) formed along an outer edge thereof; a flange cover body (50) coupled to an upper part of the main body housing (10); a center shaft upper bearing (60) which supports the upper part of the driving center shaft (20) in the flange cover body (50); a lower support ball (70) protruding from a lower end part of the driving center shaft (20); and a ball support (15) formed on the bottom surface of the main body housing (10) such that the lower support ball (70) is mounted.
