PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopping control device for a vehicle that, during an idling stop, even though a vehicle stop keeping device for keeping the vehicle in a stopping state breaks down, can surely prevent the vehicle from moving and restart properly an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: The stopping control device for a vehicle performs an idling stop that during stopping the vehicle automatically stops an internal combustion engine when predetermined stop conditions are satisfied, and then automatically restarts the engine when the predetermined restart conditions are satisfied. Further, the device comprises a brake device and an electric brake for keeping the vehicle in a stopping state, which during the idling stop, activates a brake motor of the electric brake (S12) when a failure of the brake device is detected and restarts the internal combustion engine after the electric brake is operated (S16). |
