A method and a system for measuring an optical asynchronous sample signal. The system for measuring an optical asynchronous sampling signal comprises a pulsed optical source capable of emitting two optical pulse sequences with different repetition frequencies, a signal optical path, a reference optical path, and a detection device. Since the optical asynchronous sampling signal can be measured by merely using one pulsed optical source, the complexity and cost of the system are reduced. A multi-frequency optical comb system using the pulsed optical source and a method for implementing the multi-frequency optical comb are further disclosed. |

1. An apparatus for an optical asynchronous sampling signal measurement comprising:
a) a pulsed light source that generates two or more optical pulse sequences with different repetition frequencies from a single pulsed light source, where the two or more optical pulse sequences with different repetition frequencies include a first optical pulse sequence and a second optical pulse sequence; b) a signal light path used to transform the first optical pulse sequence into a signal pulse sequence; c) a reference light path used to transform the second optical pulse sequence into a reference pulse sequence; and d) a detection device to detect the interaction between the signal pulse sequence and the reference pulse sequence and thereby determine the optical asynchronous sampling signal. |
