PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify clipping by a child and to make even a graphic designer able to sufficiently perform use by turning a specified range to a boundary area, comparing the color with the picture element colors of a segmentation object in contact with a line and a part to be excluded and performing sorting. SOLUTION: The line is roughly drawn by the mouse cursor pen of an optional thickness on the contour of an area (foreground area) to be segmented in displayed images and the boundary area is decided. Then, the sorting calculation processing of the area (foreground area) to be segmented and the other area (background area) is automatically started. In the sorting processing, area attributes are attached to all picture elements and sorting into the object to be segmented and the one to be excluded is performed. In this case, each of all the picture elements inside the boundary area is compared with the picture element of the known foreground area (or background area) in contact with the boundary area, and when the difference of the colors is less than a fixed threshold value, the picture element is turned to the picture element of the foreground area (or background area) and all the picture elements inside the boundary area are sorted while gradually increasing the threshold value. |
