PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge connector wherein connecting characteristics are stable, thickness of the connector is made thinner, and moreover force generated in fitting/removing can be received in a balanced manner. SOLUTION: An edge connector is constituted of a contact 10 and an insulator 20, and connected with one surface of a first printed circuit board 30. The contact 10 is made up integrally of a spring part 11 substantially U-shaped and elastically deformable, a contact point 11a, an abutment part 13, a first fixed part 12a, a second fixed part 12b, an abutment part 13, a first soldering terminal 14 to a second printed circuit board 40, a second soldering terminal 15, a tip part 16, and a projection part 17. The insulator 20 is constituted of a slot 21, a first hold part 22a, a second hold part 22b, a groove 23, and a pressing part 24. The first printed circuit board 30, when it is inserted into the slot 21 of the insulator 20, makes press-contacting with the contact point 11a, causing the tip part 16 to be short-circulated to the projection part 17. |
