<p>The present invention relates to a novel polypeptide having antibacterial and antifungal activity, a nucleic acid sequence encoding the same, and an antibacterial and antifungal composition containing the same polypeptide as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the polypeptide can effectively inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria and pathogenic fungi by inhibitory activities against subtilisin A and proteinase K. Therefore, the polypeptide can be advantageously used for materials in various fields such as pharmaceutical products, detergents, plant disease preventing agents, coating agents, or cosmetics.</p> |
