<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control system that can make a car depart after the car name necessary for a passenger has been registered without fail. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator control system includes: a numeric keypad car operation panel provided in the car; a destination floor indicator provided in the car to indicate the destination floor registered as a car-calling floor; passenger number detector which detects the number of passengers who enter the car; a notification unit which notifies a message to urge the passengers to register the car-calling floors when the passengers enter the car; a recognizing unit for knowing a number of passengers for each of destination floors which knows the number of passengers for each of the destination floors based on the operation contents on the numeric keypad car operation panel; a recognizing unit for knowing a number of passengers who have not yet performed registrations of destination floors which knows a number of passengers who have not yet performed registrations of destination floors based on the number of passengers and the number of passengers for each of the destination floors; and a car departure limit unit that limits the departure of the car if the number of passengers who have not yet registered the destination floors is one or more.
