#CMT# #/CMT# The parasol (100) has a sunshade (10) including a base (11) configured to slide along a mast (20) between a solar protection position and an object protection position. A blocking unit (30) is configured to allow blocking of the base with respect to the mast. An actuating unit (40) mechanically actuates the blocking unit. The actuating unit is shifted with respect to the base for permitting remote actuation of the blocking unit. The mast consists of an elongated element having a first end (E1) and second end (E2) to be embedded partially in a ground (S). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Parasol for solar-protection of persons practicing sports e.g. swimming, beach cushion ball set or beach volleyball, or persons in leisure activities in a ground i.e. sandy beach, from solar radiations, and for protecting objects (all claimed) such as food products and valuable items e.g. watches, mobile telephones, MPEG audio layer-3digital music player or spectacles, used by picnickers or campers from theft, sun, flying insects and/or animals. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The actuating unit is shifted with respect to the base for permitting remote actuation of the blocking unit till the sunshade is in the object protection position, so that the risk of flying way of the parasol by being carried away by wind is prevented, and the objects are hidden from malicious eyes, thus protecting the objects from sun, flying insects and/or animals and against theft in an effective and simple manner. The parasol is inexpensive to fabricate. The design of the parasol ensures adjustment of height of the sunshade with respect to the mast in a simple manner, thus ensuring solar-protection of the persons from solar radiations.
