摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition capable of providing a high detergency even if the cleaning is carried out with a low mechanical force, and hardly providing a bad effect on a constituent material of a car body such as aluminum alloy by using a specific glycol ether compound in combination with a surfactant and an alkali agent. SOLUTION: The composition comprises (A) a glycol ether compound of the formula R<1> -O-(AO)m -R<2> [R<1> is a 1-9C alkyl, an alkenyl or the like; A is a 2-4C alkylene; (m) is a number of average addition molecules and 1-20; R<2> is a 1-9C alkyl, H or the like], (B) a surfactant and (C) an alkali agent (e.g. caustic soda). The component B is preferably a nonion surfactant of the formula R<3> -O-(AO)R-H [R<3> is a 10-22C alkyl, phenyl or the like; A is a 2-4C alkylene; (p) is 1-40]. The total content of the components A and B in the weight ratio A/B of (1/8)-(8/1) is preferably 3-50 wt.%. The component C is included in the proportion of 0.5-5 wt.%. The balance thereof is preferably water.
