PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make no optical fiber cable loosened even though such phenomena as a galloping, sleet jump, and wind vibration are generated in an overhead ground wire after an OPGW winding works, by providing in the OPGW winding machine a preforming apparatus of making the optical fiber cable deform plastically. SOLUTION: When a bobbin with a wound optical fiber cable 2 is rotated around an overhead ground-wire 3, a preforming apparatus 4 is also rotated simultaneously around the overhead ground-wire 3 to generate a spiral plastic deformation in the winding optical fiber cable 2 passing through the preforming apparatus 4. The optical fiber cable 2 is deformed plastically with a constant spiral inner diameter and at a constant pitch, and the optimum value of the spiral inner diameter is not smaller than 80% and not larger than 95% of the diameter of the overhead ground-wire 3. As a result, the distance between the post of the optical fiber cable 2 being wound around the overhead ground-wire 3 and the outgoing end of the cable 2 from the bobbin can be shortened. Therefore, even through such phenomena as a galloping, sleet jump, and aeolian vibration are generated after the execution of the winding works, the optical fiber cable 2 is not loosened. |
