PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt driving device for an image forming device constituted so that the quality of a transferred image is enhanced by preventing a driving roller and an intermediate transfer belt from slipping and reducing the transfer ratio of fogging toner and an image forming device using it. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with photoreceptors 1a-1d on which an electrostatic latent image corresponding to image information is formed, the intermediate transfer belt 50 on which the electrostatic latent image is transferred as a toner image, the belt driving device having the driving roller 5a driving the belt 50, a winding angle control roller 5b and a tension roller 5c and a heating roller 2 and a pressure roller 3 transferring the toner image formed on the belt 50 on a recording paper P. The roller 5b is moved according to the using time thereof so as to control the winding angle of the belt 50 with respect to the roller 5a. The roller 5c is moved in accordance with the movement of the roller 5b so as to eliminate the slackening of the belt 50.
