<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robotic device that can secure a wide recognition viewable area while keeping the height of a head low. <P>SOLUTION: The robot 1 includes: a body 2; a neck joint mechanism 4 coupled to an upper part of the body 2; the head 5 supported by the neck joint mechanism 4; and a recognition unit 6 disposed at a front surface of the head 5. The neck joint mechanism 4 moves the head 5 along an oval trajectory that is defined by setting a horizontal direction relative to a top surface of the body 2 as a long axis while setting a vertical direction relative to the top surface of the body 2 as a short axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
