PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify current control by suppressing rotational vibration of a scanner motor reading an image. SOLUTION: When a read multiplying factor is a high enlargement multiplying factor of 200% or more a prescribed value in driving of image reading carriages 1.2 by a stepping motor 8, the stepping motor is driven in a micro-step by a split number 2 of step drive when the multiplying factor is 100% equal multiplying factor, split number 4 or more larger than motor current values 1.2 A, and a low current value 1.0 A or less. When the multiplying factor is a high contraction multiplying factor of 80% or less the prescribed value, the stepping motor 8 is step driven by a split number equivalent to the split number 2 when the multiplying factor is 100% equal multiplying factor and in a higher energizing current value 1.4 A or more. |
