PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic head capable of individually controlling pitch rigidity and roll rigidity and improving the floating stability of a head body. SOLUTION: A sub-pivot 21 is located on the upper surface of the head body 1 through an elastic arm 20 having proper elastic power. Namely the sub-pivot 21 is arranged on a straight line along the sliding direction of a recording medium through a main pivot 8. Since rigidity in a pitch direction can be increased as compared with a conventional device while holding rigidity in a roll direction at a low value, the floating stability of the head body 1 can be improved. |
