The present invention relates to an ultraviolet sterilizing apparatus that is installed on a waterway to sterilize water to be treated by using ultraviolet rays. Energy saving, the elongation of lifetime of ultraviolet lamps and sterilizing efficiency are increased by controlling the turning-on and -off of ultraviolet lamps, which are arranged at regular intervals along the height of the waterway, according to change in the level of water. Also, the ultraviolet sterilizing apparatus can be installed conveniently on various shapes of waterways by arranging a sterilizing module according to the shape of a waterway as a plurality of ultraviolet lamps are modularized in the sterilizing module having an upper frame and a supporting frame. Sterilizing efficiency is increased by changing (flowing backward) the flow of water by a separate blocking plate to the supporting frame at the side of flowing through the ultraviolet lamps and thereby extending irradiation time of the water to be treated being irradiated with ultraviolet rays. Sterilizing efficiency can be maximized by injecting air through an air injection part and thereby changing the flow of water. |
