<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can inform a user of a tape width conformed to formation of a desired label beforehand. <P>SOLUTION: The printer includes a storage means which stores tape width information usable for forming labels for every application, a tape width detecting means, a display means equipped with a set of display groups composed of two or more displays which express widths of loadable tapes on a display screen, an application designating means which designates an application of the label to be formed, and a display driving control means which controls to drive the display corresponding to the width of a loaded tape to operate to display on the basis of the information on the detected tape width and the tape width information stored in the storage means correspondingly to the designated application of the label when the application of the label is designated and which controls to drive the displays corresponding to widths of all the tapes usable for the label of the designated application except the display to operate to display by a display mode different from a display mode of the display which displays the width of the loaded tape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
