PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a product by baking a large amount of cullet under ordinary conditions by mixing cullet powder with kira and clay in a specific ratio, compression molding the mixture and baking the molding product at a specific temperature. SOLUTION: Cullet powder having about 10μm average particle diameter in an amount of 40-75 wt.% is mixed with 20-55 wt.% of kira and 5-40 wt.% of clay, compressed molded and baked at 1,200-1,300 deg.C to give a ceramic tile. Kira is produced from an intermediate layer between silica rock stored at a lower layer and clay stored at an upper layer when a raw material containing a large amount of silica rock is elutriated and silica rock is taken out. Kira comprises silica rock as a main component and contains clay mixed with mica, etc., has a high melting point and the melting point can be adjusted to 1,200-1,300 deg.C by mixing kira with a low-melting cullet. The clay is clay discharged from a ceramic plant. Clay recovered from clay mixed with a glaze discharged from a ceramic tile plant of dry pressing is used besides a tableware plant of wet forming.
