PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiving system and an announcement broadcast receiver, capable of omitting a power inserter or an AC adapter for supplying power to an optical receiver.SOLUTION: An optical receiving system 1 includes an optical receiver 10 that converts a light signal transmitted via an optical transmission path into an electrical signal and an announcement broadcast receiver 20 that broadcasts an announcement with the electrical signal converted by the optical receiver 10. Electric power of the optical receiver 10 can be supplied from the announcement broadcast receiver 20. For example, the optical receiver 10 has an output terminal for outputting an RF signal to the announcement broadcast receiver 20 and the announcement broadcast receiver 20 has an input terminal 21 for receiving an input of the RF signal from the optical receiver 10. The output terminal of the optical receiver 10 and the input terminal 21 of the announcement broadcast receiver 20 are connected with a coaxial cable 50. Electric power is supplied from the input terminal 21 of the announcement broadcast receiver 20 to the output terminal of the optical receiver 10 via the coaxial cable 50. |
