PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back filling processing method for a perpendicular catch basin in a created ground with which, when preventing inflow of sediment to the perpendicular catch basin while maintaining a drainage function by back filling the perpendicular catch basin in the created ground, the perpendicular catch basin can be back-filled through simple back filling processing. SOLUTION: When performing back filling processing of a perpendicular catch basin M on a created ground G, a water guide material layer 12 is formed by disposing a water guide material in a lower end portion of a perforated pipe 1, and a drain pipe 15 is laid inside of an existent drain pipe 5. The water guide material layer 12 and the drain pipe 15 are connected by a water conduit pipe 14.
