The drive has a threaded spindle (10) that can be connected at one end to an object to positioned and at the other end to an electric geared motor (3A) for drive purposes and that can be telescopically screwed in and out of a threaded nut (7). The nut is attached at the end to a spindle holder (4) and at the other end to a reference object for the object to be positioned so as not to rotate with respect to it. The motor is axially movably mounted and rotationally fixed with a drive axle (3B) coaxially connected to the spindle.
