<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion sorbent material which includes an ion-sorbing portion having ion-sorbing groups at a high density without increasing the water solubility of the ion sorbent material, allows an ion solution to easily diffuse therein and easily approach the ion-sorbing portion, and gives a remarkable increase in ion exchange capacity without its overall properties unchanged; and to provide methods of manufacturing and using the ion sorbent material. <P>SOLUTION: The ion sorbent material includes an ion-sorbing portion comprising an ion-sorbing polymer having a three-dimensional network structure, and a substrate for fixing and supporting the ion-sorbing portion through chemical bonding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
