News feed techniques are described. In implementations, content is parsed from one or more emails that are addressed to a user. The parsed content from the email is exposed, automatically and without user intervention, for output in a news feed of the user.

1. A method implemented by at least one or more modules at least partially in hardware, the method comprising:
parsing content from one or more emails that are addressed to a recipient that did not compose the one or more emails, the parsing including identifying keywords to create a summary of the one or more emails, the parsing performed to read metadata that describes the content of a respective said email received via an email service using one or more tags contained in the respective said email that originated from a social network service; and exposing the parsed content from the one or more emails, automatically and without user intervention, for output in a news feed of the recipient, the news feed including social network content comprising one or more status updates describing activity of another user configured to be displayed concurrently with the parsed content from the one or more emails.
