摘要 <p>The present invention relates to an axial vibration damper with a diaphragm controller for the main engine of a ship and, more specifically, to an axial vibration damper which is coupled to the tip end of a shaft installed in the engine of a ship to damp the vibration of the front and the rear of a crank in order to decrease the axial vibration of a superstructure and to a diaphragm controller that is installed on the damper, which can damp the axial vibration by controlling the amount of oil moving to the front and the rear through a valve on which a diaphragm is installed. Included in the axial vibration damper which embraces and is coupled to a cam that is connected to the end part of a crank shaft installed in the main engine of a ship are: a pair of oil chambers which meet both sides of the cam, receive oil in their inner part, and is connected by an oil passage in order for oil to flow; a valve which controls the area of the oil passage to adjust the amount and gap of flowing oil; and a controller which controls the opening angle of the valve.</p>
