1. An electrical connector for electrically connecting an IC package with a substrate, comprising:
an insulative housing; a plurality of contacts received in the insulative housing; a load plate pivotally covered the insulative housing; a carrier assembled to the load plate for holding the IC package; and a lock member positioned the load plate in a closed position; wherein the carrier comprises a holding member and a sliding member assembled to the holding member; wherein the holding member and the sliding member both comprises a position portion, the sliding member slides along the holding member to make the two position portions fastened with the load plate.
