The present invention relates to a handrail sterilizing apparatus and, more specifically, to a handrail sterilizing apparatus capable of sterilizing a handrail mounted on an escalator or the like by drying. Provided is the handrail sterilizing apparatus which is arranged on the upper or lower part of the handrail moving along a rail guide and sterilizes the surface of the handrail by generating plasma. The handrail sterilizing apparatus comprises: a case having an outlet formed toward the handrail and a gas inlet, which is communicated with the outlet, formed thereon; an electrode arranged inside the outlet; and a dielectric covering the electrode and forming a discharge space by being spaced apart from the inside surface of the case. The handrail sterilizing device injects gas, which is injected through the gas inlet into the discharge space, discharges the gas in the discharge space, and then sprays the gas in a form of plasma through the outlet to sterilize the handrail. |
