<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for preventing the inflow of exhaust gas using a parking aids system (PAS). To be more specifically, the apparatus and the method can prevent the inflow of exhaust gas to the inside of a vehicle by switching an air conditioner from outside air to inside air, when a front vehicle exists, by sensing the existence of the front vehicle in the case where the driving vehicle decelerates or drives in downtown or countryside driving delaying sections, thereby enabling pleasant driving. The apparatus includes: a distance determining unit which determines a distance from a front vehicle existing in the front side of a vehicle; and a control unit which controls the mode of an air conditioner of the vehicle to inside air or outside air according to the distance from the determined front vehicle.</p> |
