The present invention relates to a mobile communication terminal having a function to select an international call service provider and a method for providing an international call service in the mobile communication terminal. The mobile communication terminal comprises: a call request detecting unit which detects generation of a call connection request signal; an international call judging unit which judges whether the call connection request signal detected by the call request detecting unit is an international call connection request signal; an international call charge rate providing unit which provides information on a charge rate of each international call service provider through a display unit if the international call judges the said signal is the international call connection request signal; and an international call service provider identification number deciding unit which decides a final international call service provider identification number based on the identification number of an international call service provider selected by a user using the information on international call charge rate provided by the international call charge rate providing unit, wherein the international call connection signal is transmitted based on the final international call service provider identification number decided by the international call service provider identification number deciding unit via a communication network.
