an electric machine configured to provide drive torque; a battery for supplying power to the electric machine; and a controller configured to:
select a gain factor from predetermined data based on battery temperature, wherein the gain factor corresponds to a constant value above a threshold battery temperature and increases as the battery temperature decreases below the threshold battery temperature;estimate a variable gain based on the gain factor;estimate battery equivalent circuit model (ECM) parameters based on the variable gain; andgenerate output indicative of at least one of a battery power capability and a battery state of charge using a filter based on the battery ECM parameters. |
