<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the variation of auxiliary capacitance when mis-alignment occurs between an auxiliary capacitance electrode and a pixel electrode in an active matrix type liquid crystal display panel wherein an anode oxide film is formed on a part of the.surface of the auxiliary capacitance electrode. SOLUTION: An auxiliary capacitance electrode 6 has an anode oxide film unformed area 6A formed of a pair of side parts on both sides of almost U-shaped part 6a to be superimposed on prescribed three side parts of the pixel electrode 5, and an anode oxide film formed area 6B (shown as hatched part) provided on both sides of the area 6A. In this case, the length of the anode oxide film formed area 6B is longer than that of the anode oxide film unformed area 6A, therefore, when mis-alignment occurs between the auxiliary electrode 6 and the pixel electrode 5 in the horizontal direction, an overlapping area increases as a whole, and this compensates the auxiliary capacitance.</p> |
