<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for processing the cooling water of a rolling roll that processes the cooling water injected by a cooling water injection unit positioned above an upper backup roll of the rolling roll. The apparatus includes a pair of bodies, in which an upper backup roll is interposed between the bodies, positioned along a longitudinal direction of the upper backup roll to correspond to the surface of the upper backup roll, and provided on the upper surface with an opened cooling water channel formed along the longitudinal direction of the upper backup roll; contact parts engaged to the bodies to face the surface of the upper backup roll; driving units installed at both ends of the bodies to move the bodies so that the contact part comes into contact with the surface of the upper backup roll; and cooling water collectors positioned at both ends of the bodies to correspond to both ends of the cooling water channel, and connected to the cooling water channel. When the cooling injection unit injects the cooling water on the upper backup roll, the contact part comes into contact with the surface of the upper backup roll by the driving units. The cooling water flows downward along the contact part, and then flows in the cooling water channel to the cooling water collector. It is possible to prevent the cooling water injected onto the backup roll from being dropped on the rolled steel, thereby preventing an uneven temperature in the rolled steel. Also, it is possible to prevent the rolled steel from being damaged due to contact with the backup roll, and to collect the cooling water injected onto the backup roll.</p> |
