A method for adjusting a reference voltage of an LCD device is provided to prevent the generation of residual DC(Direct Current) components by storing compensation data on real display images in advance. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes an LCD panel(30) for displaying images based on image signals, a display control circuit for generating gray scale display voltages based on the image signals, a reference voltage generator(12A) for generating a reference voltage, and a driver(20) for applying a common voltage to a common electrode and AC(Alternating Current) driving signals based on the reference voltage to respective pixel electrodes. Reference voltage compensation data for adjusting luminance and flicker is stored in a memory based on real display images of the LCD panel through a feedback adjustment of the AC driving signals. The reference voltage is compensated by the compensation data in the reference voltage generator and then the compensated reference voltage is outputted to the driver.
|
