<p>Disclosed are a method for detecting signals by using a watermarking sequence in a cognitive radio network and a system thereof. A cognition radio system comprises one or more first user devices transmitting signals in which a first watermarking sequence is added to a data signal through different frequency bands and one or more second user devices determining whether a certain frequency band is in use by the first user device based on a correlation value between the signal transmitted to the certain frequency band and a second watermarking sequence.
