The present invention relates to a contact having an improved structure and to a flat cable connector including the same. The flat cable connector includes: an insulator which accepts a flat cable; multiple conductive contacts which are disposed at regular pitches on the insulator; and an actuator which touches and fixes the flat cable to be coupled with the insulator and inserted into the insulator. The contact includes: a first contact unit which branches out from a support unit to one side and forms a pair of conductive pins to supply upper and lower contacts when connecting the flat cable; and a second contact unit which branches out from the support unit to the other side of the first contact unit and forms a pivot unit which fixes the conductive pin and the actuator to supply a contact when connecting the flat cable.
