METHOD FOR CONNECTING PERMANENT VIRTUAL CHANNEL IN HIGH-SPEED TRANSMISSION MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BASED ON ASYNCHRONOUS TRANSFER MODE

PURPOSE: A method for connecting a PVC(Permanent Virtual Channel) in a high-speed transmission mobile communication system based on ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) is provided to use an ATM PVC section table without using additional IPC(Inter Processor Communication) through the Ethernet, being implemented between processors in an IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) system. CONSTITUTION: A boot rom of each board sets up a default channel to download an application execution file and PLD(Program Load Data) information between itself and an upper board. According to the setup of the default channel, each board downloads the application execution file and PLD information through the set channel. When PVC(Permanent Virtual Channel) connection information is received, each board extracts and generates an ordinary PVC section table to be opened by the each board itself from the PVC connection information. And an ATM device included in each board is set up using the generated PVC table.
