PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal lifting beam that can put a so-called mass- eccentric suspended load with the center of gravity shifted from the center of the suspended load, in a horizontal state from the beginning of lifting while dispensing with dangerous high lift work for the adjustment of lifting wires. SOLUTION: This horizontal lifting beam is provided with a lifting beam body lifted by a plurality of wires stretched from a lifting hook of a crane; wire fixing members provided on one side and the other side of the lifting beam body to fix the tip parts of the lifting wires; a plurality of fittable parts provided at each of one side and the other side of the lifting beam body at the parts where the wire fixing members are detachably fitted to the lifting beam body, with mutually different distance on each side from the center part of the lifting beam body; a wire pressing member for determining the stretched direction of the lifting wire by pressing the intermediate part of the lifting wire to bend the intermediate part; and a suspended load support member for lifting and supporting the suspended load.
