PACKAGE OF BREAD OR THE LIKE IN BOUND BAG AND METHOD OF PACKAGING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign matter from entering the inside of a bag and to suppress peeling of a strip seal when binding. SOLUTION: The package 10 comprises a packaging bag 12 formed of a film having a thermally weldable surface on one of surfaces and formed to be a cylinder having an opening at one of ends, and rectangular slices of bread 14 received in the bag 12. Gusset folds on a side of the opening are respectively formed on a pair of first lateral faces facing a body of the bread 14 on a bag extension 18 extending from an article receiving rim 17 of the bag 12 toward the side of the opening. A plurality of strip seals 22 which seal the packaging bag 12 and are approximately parallel to an opening rim are formed in parallel at positions toward the opening end of the bag 12 and close to the end on the extension 18. A binder 26 is detachably mounted on the extension 18 between the article receiving rim 17 and the strip seals 22 and at a position where it does not interfere with the seals 22.
