<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously update the routing tables of respective line parts in a router at generation of update information on the routing tables, and to prevent a packet from being lost in a device. SOLUTION: The router 1 is provided with a reference routing table and an update routing table, as the routing tables in the circuit parts 14. When the line part 14 receives a routing protocol packet giving information on the change of route information, the content of the update routing table in the line part 14 is updated from routing table update information generated, based on the routing protocol packet and the reference destinations of the routing tables are simultaneously switched in the respective line parts 14, with the updated update routing table as a new reference destination routing table.</p> |
