<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device using a double-sided touch screen connected to a PC main body as a communication means. SOLUTION: This double-sided touch screen connected to the PC main body is used as the communication means. By means of this double-sided screen, a handicapped person having difficulties in speaking can transmit his/her intention through voice and an image (including a character) to a partner by touching an icon, that is, a small image (including a character) expressing the intention. The both faces can be opened/closed according to the direction of users on both sides. This device allows easy interactive operation without using any conventional input device such as a keyboard and a mouse. When multiple touch screens are used, this device can be used by a plurality of users (three or more users). Including a physically handicapped person and an elder person having difficulties in speaking, any user capable of touching the device by his/her single finger is accessible to the device. The user can touch the screen by means of an auxiliary rod having a soft rubber tip at the end by holding the auxiliary rod in his/her mouth.</p> |
