FIELD: radio engineering, communication.SUBSTANCE: currency storage apparatus comprises a drum which rolls and stores currency around its circular surface; a delivery roller which sends currency from an inlet/outlet opening for rolling in order to send the currency to said drum, and which unrolls the currency unrolled from said drum into said inlet/outlet opening for unrolling; a tracking unit which tracks the path for currency between the initial rolling position of said drum and said delivery roller; wherein said tracking unit includes a sensor having a light emitter which emits a light ray and an optical sensor which receives the light ray on an optical axis and a controller. The optical axis is located across the path; said sensor switches to a conducting state or non-conducting state according to whether the optical axis is blocked by the currency.EFFECT: controller tracks whether said sensor is in conducting or non-conducting state in order to determine whether currency is located on the path in a abnormal state.9 cl, 14 dwg |
