VEHICULAR CONTROL SYSTEM AND ITS OPERATING METHOD

The present invention relates to a vehicle control system to solve an electric safety problem of a vehicle. The vehicle control system of the present invention comprises: a charger to charge a battery of a vehicle from an external power supply source; and a controller which is activated if charging is initiated through the charger in a key-off state of the vehicle and blocks a high voltage system of the vehicle if it is determined that external impact is applied to the vehicle by using location information transmitted from a motor position sensor of a driving motor. Therefore, the system of the present invention is able to block a high voltage if there is a crash in the key-off state for charging, thereby reducing a vehicle fire due to short circuit in the high voltage system and losses of life due to instant high current introduction to the vehicle.
