The present invention relates to a sensor mounting structure for a bumper to protect pedestrians and, more specifically, to a sensor mounting structure for a bumper to protect pedestrians. The sensor mounting structure for a bumper to protect pedestrians comprises: a silicon tube (100) having one end mounted on an energy foam (11) mounted on the bumper (10), and the other end positioned to be spaced apart from a bumper back beam (12) mounted on the car body within a predetermined gap; a pressure sensor (110) mounted on the silicon tube (100) connected to an electronic control unit (101) provided in the vehicle to first detect a gap between the silicon tube (100) and the bumper back beam (12), sending a signal to the electronic control unit; and a contact sensor (200) having one end mounted on the silicon tube (100) and the other end positioned to be spaced apart from the bumper back beam (12), and connected to the pressure sensor (110) to secondly detect a gap between the silicon tube (100) and the bumper back beam (12), sending a signal to the electronic control unit. Therefore, the sensor mounting structure for a bumper to protect pedestrians may detect a wrong assembly, a slight contact which may occur during traveling, and an increase of a gap between the sensors which occurs due to an impact induced by a passage of a speed bump during the manufacture of the vehicle for checking the defects of assembly which may occur in the assembly process while increasing the safety of the pedestrians; thereby improving the quality of assembly and marketability.
|
