<p>A method for synchronizing a clock frequency of a CPU and a memory and an apparatus using the same are provided to synchronize a clock frequency of a CPU FSB(Free Space Block) with a memory module, thereby reducing unnecessary power consumption. If power of a system is applied, a memory controller(12) measures a clock frequency of a memory. If a bit selector signal is received from a CPU(Central Processing Unit)(11), a clock generator(14) transmits a clock signal corresponding to the received bit selector signal to the CPU and the memory controller. A multiplying rate of the clock signal received in the CPU is adjusted so that the clock signal received in the CPU is synchronized with a clock frequency of the measured memory.</p> |
