摘要 The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material coated with a complex metal oxide having electric conductivity, a manufacturing method thereof and lithium secondary batteries including the same. The coated positive electrode active material includes a coating layer having a complex metal oxide to surround positive electrode active materials and the positive electrode active material wherein the complex metal oxide included in the coating layer has a pyrochlore structure with electric conductivity. Therefore, the coated positive electrode active material improves life service properties of batteries and has a high electric conductivity by having the (stoichiometric) pyrochlore structure, thereby providing positive electrode active materials with improved high rate discharge properties. Furthermore, if lithium batteries are manufactured by using the coated positive electrode active material, lithium batteries which have little corrosion under high voltages and are used as large-sized batteries can be provided.
