<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for creating a reference frame and a method and an apparatus for encoding/decoding image using the reference frame. The apparatus for creating the reference frame of the present invention includes: an interpolation unit for interpolating the reference frame in the unit of a frictional pixel; a virtual encoding unit for deciding a block mode of a present frame by using the interpolated reference frame and a motion vector according to the block mode; an offset calculating unit for calculating an offset for each pixel of the interpolated reference frame by using the block mode and the motion vector; and an offset adding unit for creating an offset-interpolation reference frame by adding the offset for each pixel to each pixel of the interpolated reference frame. According to the present invention, the offset calculated according to the block mode is added to the reference frame for the inter-prediction to allow a reference frame used for motion estimation and motion compensation to be similar to the present frame, thereby more exactly performing the prediction, so that the encoding efficiency and the compression efficiency can be improved.</p> |
